In the summer of 2019 I had the privilege to intern at Metro Exhibits in northern New Jersey. Metro Exhibits is a trade show company that works with clients to create custom booths to meet any occasion. While working here, I was assigned customer projects and was encouraged to create solutions without boundaries. I coordinated with both the client as well as Metro Exhibit designers which resulted in several projects reaching production.
While at Metro Exhibits, Projection was the main project that I worked on. I was in charge of designing the clients trade show exhibit booth from the ground up. I sat in on the conference calls, reviewed and worked with their style guide, and worked through multiple drafts with Metro Exhibit's graphic designer before finishing on this. These designs were then handed over to the head graphic designer at Metro Exhibits and presented to Projection.
In addition to working on Projection, I was given projects to handle for real clients each week. These are three final products that I designed that were then printed, put into exhibits, and shipped out to customers for use. They ranged from trade show exhibit booths to photo backdrops for parties.
Retractable banner designed for company's trade show
Photo backdrop designed for a 30th birthday
Photo backdrop designed for a high school graduation
When there wasn't a project for me to work on I would be in the warehouse helping out. I would build the photo booths for clients to see before they got shipped, take them down, and then package them to be sent off. Each booth is completely unique.
